Method Kitchen Cleaner Spray

I am a great fan of America's Test Kitchens reviews.  I find that they are thorough in their testing as well as being impartial to specific brands.

The last video that I viewed, they had tested various kitchen cleaner spray brands.  Their top choice was Method brand.  It was tested in their 24/7 kitchens and was priced much lower than brands such as Formula 409 and needed many fewer sprays to accomplish the cleaning task (grease removal, etc)

On my last trip to the grocery store, I found that they had an "Anti-Bac" version in a citrus scent.  At $3.49 for the bottle, I decided to try it.  Wow, was I impressed!!!  First of all, I love the scent.  I had been using various antibacterial cleaners and really disliked the heavy chemical scents that they carried with them.  This one from Method has a bright and lightly scented lemon.  It quickly removed grease, stains and other food remnants from the countertops in a couple of sprays.  It left a pleasant citrus scent behind.

I then tried it on the range hood which typically gets lots of grease residue from cooking splatters and steam.  Everything magically disappeared in an instant.  I opened the microwave and sprayed the inside surfaces.  All stains and splatters were gone with no effort.

Finally, I have a double sink which has a garbage disposal in the right-hand sink.  Typically the flange at the opening (stainless steel) tends to get discolored from dumping coffee grinds, tomato-based leftovers and such.  Before using Method, I would use a mild abrasive such as Bartender's Friend with a scrub brush.  I decided to put a couple of sprays of Method in the area and let it sit for a few minutes.  I didn't even have to brush!  Upon rinsing, the flange was sparkling bright with no trace of stains.

I'm sold.  I bought two extra bottles to use in the bathroom sinks and countertops.  Method is cheaper than other well-known brands and outperforms in its ability to clean and disinfect.

On the same video from America's Test Kitchens, I discovered that my favorite brand of dishwashing soap, Dawn, is PETROLEUM based!  This is ironic as their commercials show washing oil spill residues off of ducklings.  Their reviews recommended Mrs. Meyer's dishwashing liquid.  As soon as I have finished the last bottle of Dawn, I will be posting a review of this product.  Be sure to come back and visit.
