Product Reviews (unbiased and not sponsored)

Well, going along with my new look for hair and beard, I bought a couple of new products to keep my look the best that it can be.  I did a great deal of research before I bought these products, and so far, I'm very pleased with the results.  For less than about $150, you can purchase a full arsenal of products to keep your hair and beard looking their best.   Prices vary, so be sure to shop different sites for current pricing.  Please see the reviews below.

Remington Shortcut Clipper Pro

These clippers are specifically designed for buzz cuts.  The rechargeable clippers come with nine guards ranging from 1/16" to 1/2" The curved design fits easily in your hand and the blade easily conforms to your scalp.  The lithium ion battery holds enough of a charge for a complete haircut

The only thing that I didn't like was that the storage case that came with the clippers ONLY holds the clippers and nothing else.  However, I bought a carrying case that holds the clipper, charger, lubricating oil, brush, and all nine guards for about $15 on eBay..

Costs around $60 plus shipping and tax.

Beard Guyz Beard Oil

Finish off your beard look with this beard oil.  I had never heard of products like this before, but I discovered that using just a few drops of this on my beard every day helps keep the hair soft and thereby eliminating the irritation that can happen to facial skin that comes from facial hair.

This is a must in your daily regimen and a little goes a very long way.  Only 2-3 drops in your palm and rubbing your hands together is more than plenty.  The only thing that I didn't like is the oil smell that it has.  I purposely bought a product without any scent so it wouldn't clash with my cologne.  So what I do is rub the oil in my palms, spray a couple of squirts of whatever cologne I want for the day, and then apply it.

Cost: about $15

Norelco 7200 Beard Trimmer

The Norelco 7200 Beard Trimmer has a built-in vacuum to capture the hair as you cut it.  Some have complained that it doesn't catch everything, but I have been using it every day for two weeks and haven't seen anything in the sink. It comes with 4 guards and a built-in dial that adjusts the length of the cut.

Thanks to a Lithium Ion battery, a full charge lasts about 90 minutes and charges very quickly.   It does not come with any carrying case, but arrives with a satin bag that holds the charger and blade guides.

Cost: about $60 depending on where you buy it.
