Breville Combi-Wave
3-in-one Microwave, Convection, and Air Fryer oven

OIP.jpg

I am a huge fan of Breville products. America's Test Kitchen reviews got me started on the brand. I have their ice cream maker (refrigerated model), waffle iron, and just upgraded the Breville toaster oven for this combo appliance to save room in the kitchen.
First of all, it's super quiet...much quieter than my old LG microwave. I love the soft close door and the fact that you can mute the sounds so you don't disturb anyone.
The microwave is powerful and the fact that it is inversion (doesn't cycle on and off to adjust power, rather decreases power so good doesn't burn) makes for even heat distribution.
The on screen menus basically guide you through every function and there are lots of features that it boasts.
I've only had it for two days, so I plan to update this review after I've put it through the paces on Thanksgiving tomorrow when I'll be using the convection oven part of it.
If I had to criticize anything, I have to say that you DO need to read the manual to familiarize yourself with some of the features. To be fair, it is a heavy hitter because it air fries, bakes, reheats, and microwaves, so there's a lot of features to pack into a small appliance.
So far, I'm in love with it and look forward to putting it to work tomorrow as a second oven.
More to come...
UPDATE 12/1/21: Used the convection oven several times now. I was pleased that most of the outside stays relatively warm to the touch and not scorching hot. It preheats quickly and foods cook evenly.
I also like the various menus on the display to walk you through different options. If I had to criticize anything, I would strongly suggest new users carefully read the owner's manual before use as there are so many options and variations. But in all fairness, this appliance replaces three, so it's not surprising that there are a few complications. Otherwise, we are thrilled with this oven!
